Mughal-E-Azam- the epic historical drama. Released in the year 1960, Mughal-E-Azam became the biggest hit of all times. The story was related to Indian History during the Mughal Empire where the epic love story of the Mughal prince Saalim and Anarkali a court dancer is depicted. It shows the war between Father (Jahangir) and son (Saalim) on disagreement on their love affair.
The cast of the film was, Dilip Kumar, Prithviraj Kapoor, Madhubala, and Durga Khote. The film was directed by K. Asif. It was a black and white movie but later it was revised with the help of technology to add color to the screen.
Pakeeza- released in the year 1972, Pakeeza is a cult classic film. Pakeeza was written and directed by Kamal Amrohi. Meena Kumari was the main depicted character in the film. Mera Naam Joker– Raj Kapoor starrer film Mera Naam Joker was released in 1970. 3 Idiots- a new in the list 3 Idiots is a new classic to Indian cinema released in 2006. It is a comedy drama which shows the friendship between 4 engineering students and their satire behind the Indian education system is also potrayed. Rang de Basanti– released in the year 2006, Rang De Basanti is a remarkable drama. It revolves around 5 friends living in Delhi and how their life changed after working for a documentary film on freedom fighters. They took revenge and assassinated the Indian Defense Minister for corruption and killing of one of their friend who was in the Indian Air Force. Amir Khan, Siddharth Naraya, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, R. Madhavan, Sharman Jyoshi, Atul Kulkarni and British Actress Alice Patten were seen in the lead roles.
