Spike Lee nomination for Blackkklansman
Spike Lee born March 20, 1957, in Atlanta, Georgia has written and directed movies like She’s Gotta Have It (1986), Do the Right Thing (1989), Jungle Fever (1991), Inside Man (2006), and many more. But subsequently, he could never make to winning any Globe award or for that matter Oscar. His directorial firm BlacKkKlansman (2018) got nominated for Golden Globe and the expectations for winning is considerable.
Adam McKay nomination for Vice
Adam McKay, born April 17, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania co-writer of The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Talladega Nights: Stepbrothers (2008), directed The Other Guys(2010) and many others, finally nominated for Vice (2018). Though we know the adoration of Hollywood Foreign Press Association for Vice, we consider strong competitors on this ground for Vice.
Bradley Cooper nomination for A Star Is Born
Bradley Charles Cooper born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, January 5, 1975, made it to the Golden Globes with his directorial film A Star Is Born. As already predicted this move has a strong presence and will give a tough completion to other nominations. HFPA has self-love for Romantic, Musical Drama with a heart touching story line.
Alfonso Cuarón nomination for Roma
Alfonso Cuarón Orozco born in Mexico City, November 28, 1961, directed A Little Princess (1995) Great Expectations (1998) Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004Children of Men (2006), Gravity (2013). Cuarón directed the autobiographical Roma (2018) about his childhood in Mexico City. Alfonso has won Oscar and Golden Globe 2014 for his Directorial Gravity. This year we have high hopes for his masterpiece Roma.
Who will Win-Best Director- Motion Picture-Golden Globe Awards 2019?
With all the research and analysis that we made on the nominated directors and their films, we could say, Bradley Cooper and Adam McKay has done remarkably done well in their field. Whereas Spike Lee could never make to any of the awards till now, we keep his chances low this time. Alfonso Cuarón with his semi-autobiography will definitely be the strongest of them all when it comes to winning. His way of depicting the character made the story sensational and personal to viewers. His tremendous involvement is seen in the film and he deserves this award for his masterpiece art file “Roma”.
