The 12th Aero India-2019 has taken its first flight today. The event organized by Indian Air Force is scheduled to take place from 20th to 24th February 2019 at Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangaluru.
The opening event today, stated with a spectacular mastery of Indian Defence. The Sarang helicopter aerobatics team of IAF, performed during the show and ended it split manoeuvre after saluting Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) performs at the Aero India 2019 in Bengaluru; also pays homage to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who gave it the name ‘Tejas’.
The Dakota, Douglas DC-3 flew past.
An Indian Air Force aircraft with a Su-30MKi paid tribute to Wing Commander Sahil Gandhi, who lost his life in mid-air collision during rehearsal in a Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team’s aircraft on February 19. The incident happened during the practice session of the Suryakiran aerobatic team (SKAT) of the Indian Air Force.
