It was more like a playground to shoot for Bhoot Police said Fatima who has to do a lot of ground work for her prior films even before they started shooting
Fatima is a known face for Hindi Film Industry as she was portrayed as a wrestler in Dangal and indeed she stood out to be a great actor. And her next film was Thugs of Hindostan. Fatima lately got involved in a project with Anurag Basu and she explains Basu has an unusual approach to filmmaking.
“I went to meet dada (Basu) and he gave a brief of the story. I asked him what I have to do in the film? He just said, ‘You just come to the set, we will do it.’ I went to the set we discussed things and every day he would come up with new things and we just played around.
“So it was a different type of work ‘Thugs…’ and ‘Dangal’ needed a lot of prep, we did a lot of hard work before starting the film. But things were different here. It’s been more of a playground for me than a serious project,” Fatima told PTI.
Fatima who is 27, is now working on a film along with Rajkumar Rao in the male lead revolves around unavoidable jeopardize of life and involves 4 different stores from the metros of India. The film is yet to be titled and will be released on 6th of September this year. Fatima will be seen in the film along with her Dangal co-stars such as Sanya Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Pankaj Tripathi among others.
When asked about how was the experience of working with Rajkumar Rao, she said, “I enjoyed a lot. I loved the team and had a great time on the set every day… Rajkummar is killing it and has established himself as one of the best actors of our generation. His journey has been inspiring.”
Fatima has been fortunate to work with big names in Bollywood in her brief filmy career. She has worked with the mega star like Amitabh Bhachchan, Amir Khan, Katrina Kaif, and soon will be seen filming with Saif Ali Khan for their film “Bhoot Police” which is a horror-comedy.
Fatima further said she is glad to associate with another big shot of Bollywood that is Saif Ali Khan and is also excited to work with director Pavan Kripalani who was largely acclaimed for his film Phobia in 2016. “I really liked Pavan’s work in ‘Phobia’. I am glad that I met him and we are doing a film together. It’s a great film to be a part of. When I read the initial drafts of the film, I knew I want to be in it. And then there is Saif. I want to work with all the Khans. I have worked with Shah Rukh when I was a kid but would like to work with him again,” she said.
Bhoot Police is Presented by Fox Star Studios, and is about to go to the floor this August.
