When it comes to romance, Indian cinema tops the chart. The actors set fire on screen by their reel life romance, the songs are melodious and oozes out the juice of romance. The screen play, lyrics, dialogues everything works together to make the most out of it. There are few remarkable Hindi Bollywood Romantic movies which are worth watching once in a life time. There are movies as such which were in theaters for years and now we celebrate to completion of years of such epic Hindi movies.

Let us take a walk down the memory lane and find for the gems of Hindi Romantic cinema worth watching.

Silsila– in the year 1981 Silsila was released. It was a love triangle between Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bhaduri, and Rekha. This film was an epic and one of the best works of the legendary director Yash Chopra. At that time there was a rumor about the love affair of Rekha and Amitabh and this cinema was said to set a stop in their onscreen appearance together. Though not a commercial hit but over the period of time it gained popularity and was counted among one of the best romantic drama in Indian Film Industry.

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge– Bollywood and romance is directly linked with Kajol and Shahrukh. Both make an awesome romantic pair together. They have done several movies together but some are remarkable, in terms of finances and critics as well. Released in the year 1995, by debutant director Aditya Chopra, this story is about two strangers how they met and finally took the relationship to marriage and how the boy convinces the girl’s father for their marriage.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai– another blockbuster romantic movie by Shahrukh, Kajol, and Rani Mukherjee was a much talked about film even today. It was released in the year 1998 in India and UK. It made a special in the heart of viewers. The script involves collage friends who are more than friends. Kajol feels for Sharukh but never told him about his feelings and Sahrukh ended up marrying another girl Rani Mukherjee. After a sudden death of Rani, the duo namely Kajol and Shahrukh unites once again. The plot takes them to ups and downs throughout the story.

Hum Aapke Hai Kaun- Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan were seen romancing in this film. Madhuri known for her dancing skills and unparalleled acting skills set the stage on fire. The heart touching story was a family movie and showed how love emerges within the family. It was released in the year 1994 and brought a sensation throughout the nation. The film was acclaimed globally and earned well in box office as well.

Dil to Pagal Hai- in the year 1997 yet another super hit musical romantic film by Yash Chopra was released. The story revolves around the two female actors Madhuri and Karishma who were members of a musical troop and how they competed to win the heart of their choreographer played by Shahrukh. This was indeed another gem under Yash Chopra Banner.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam- Salman Khan and the then girlfriend Aishwarya Rai played the protagonist of the story. From the sets to music everything was set to perfection for yet another musical romance in Indian Bollywood cinema. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his sets and it was a treat to our eyes. The story was a love triangle which was between Salman, Aishwarya and Ajay Devgan.
