Veteran actor Paresh Rawal is all set for his son Aditya Rawal to debut in Bollywood film industry with Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Bamfaad’.
Bollywood film industry has witnessed many star kids from its inception. It has been obvious that star kids are always to get into Bollywood as they have an easy foothold in the industry for their parents. Actors like Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor and to add to the new list, the fresh faces have added recently like Jhanvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Alia Bhatt and so on.
Paresh Rawal has also taken up this step of preparing his son for the film industry as well. Aditya Rawal who has debuted as an assistant director in Salman Khan’s film Sultan is all set to hit the screen with his acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Bamfaad’.
Actor Paresh Rawal and his wife Swaroop Sampat have said earlier that they want their son to undergo training and gain in-depth knowledge about the film industry before getting into his shoes. They also want their son to know everything from the scratch. He has been seen as a debutant assistant director in Sultan which have been a knowledge pool for the young kid. Anurag Kashyap’s film is set to release this year.
‘Bamfaad’ has been directed by yet another debutant director Ranjan Chandel. The leading actress Shalini Pandey from south film industry will be seen opposite to Aditya in the film. When Anurag was asked about his association with the film as a producer, he said, “Ranjan has been a long-time collaborator as writer and assistant. Producer Ajay Raj and I worked together on ‘Gulala’ and ‘Dev D’. I am fully involved with the project with the producers Ajay, Pradeep Kumar, and Alan McAlex.”
With a debutant director, the film’s main cast is also a debut for Aditya and Shalini in the Bollywood film industry. When asked for his opinion on this Ranjan said that his casting director Taran Bajaj and he felt that Shalini and Aditya will be the perfect match for their film, “we met some experienced actor but eventually zeroed in on them. Shalini has done some films down South but this will be her first Hindi film as the lead, Aditya comes from a film background, both his parents are big names, yet he surrendered himself to my vision completely. We had a one- month workshop before the film went on the floors and Aditya accompanied me on my recee as well. Both are fantastic actors and very involved with the project.” ‘Bamfaad’ other cast includes Vijay Verma and Jatin Sarne who will be seen playing a very significant role.
When asked about the plot of the story, he said that ‘Bamfaad’ is a passionate love story set in Allahabad. The film has been secretly shot in Kanpur towards the end of 2018 and is now in post-production.
With the unusual
choice of the title, the filmmakers said, “Bamfaad is a North Indian slang for
an explosion and aptly describe these characters and their world.” The film is
set to release in the next few months, though the date of release is yet to be
