Sri Lanka faced fatal tragedy this Easter morning on Sunday when it experienced several blasts in three different church and luxury hotels in the country. The blast took lives of many at a time and has been marked as a black day in the history of Sri Lanka. It has claimed more than 200 lives and has left another 400 seriously injured.

The action stormed great reaction from celebrities like Jacqueline Fernandez who has been titled as Miss Universe as she represented Sri Lanka. Jacqueline’s father is from Sri Lanka whereas her Mother is from Malaysia. Other than Jacqueline actors like R. Madhavan, Diya Mirza, Abhishek Bachchan, and many others have taken to their social handle to pray for peace for the country.

Bollywood actor and former Miss Universe Jacqueline Fernandez said “violence is like a chain reaction” and it is time it stopped.

“Extremely sad at the news of bombings in Sri Lanka. It’s unfortunate that one is not able to see that violence is like a chain reaction. This has to stop!” she said.

South Indian superstar and politician Kamal Haasan said violence is not the solution over human disagreement.

“Ironic that the island that spawned the word serendipity is not able to find it. My deepest sympathies to those affected by the bombs in Sri Lanka. The government should be impartial and swift in rendering justice,” Haasan tweeted.

Abhishek Bachchan also took to his social handle to send his prayers for the neighboring country.

“Stay strong SriLanka!” the actor stated on a microblogging site.

R Madhavan tweeted, “So very heart breaking and tragic. Heartfelt sympathies to all families of the victims. God give them courage to handle this cowardice.”

Parineeti Chopra tweeted, “Could never have thought a quiet country like Srilanka could be attacked like this. What is the world coming to? Thinking of all the families affected. All my love and prayers always.”

Apparently, this is not all. Many actors from the film fraternity from India and abroad have expressed their condolence and have prayed for the families who have faced a heavy loss of lives of their dear ones.
