Sidharth Malhotra is wrapping up his projects for other two films and he is receiving training for the upcoming biopic on Captain Vikram Batra

Sidharth who was keeping busy for his two consecutive shoot for Marjavaan and Jabariya Jodi has been working hard for his next film which is a biopic on captain Vikram Bharat who is an eminent figure from the 1999 Kargil war.

The film will be produced by Karan Johar and Shabbir Boxwala and will be directed by Vishnuvardhan. It is about to hit the floor at the end of April. Though Sidharth has started prepping for the film from now. He has to undergo a training for one month to get into the skin of his character.

A source close to the project said, “Sidharth will sport different looks for different timelines of Vikram’s life. He has already spent some time with the captain’s family to know him better and is attending workshops to learn the use of military weapons,” the close source also revealed that the film will be named ‘Kargil’s Sher Shah’, a moniker given to the officer in the intercepted messages of the Pakistani army. “The film will be shot in approximately 70 days across Chandigarh, Palampur, Kashmir and Ladakh, beginning with DAV college, where Vikram studied.

However, Sidharth don’t have to take it all together as he will have breaks beteen the shoot for days to do his promotion work for his upcoming film Jabariya Jodi. The source also said that while He was undergoing training for the biopic, he also wrapped his work for the last projects he had. “He has allotted a few days to shoot one song each for ‘Jabariya Jodi’ and ‘Marjaavaan at a city studio,” the source shared. Sidharth told Mirror, “I am excited to play this real-life heroic story of sacrifice and valour as this is something I have not done before. I am looking forward to shoot at all the real-life locations.”

Captain Vikram Batra was a courageous hero of the nation who was martyred during the 1999 Kargil wars with Pakistan when he was 24 years old. He was awarded with the Param Vir Chakra for his outrageous courage during the war.
